The reclusive UK experimentalist dips into the ATLien arts with his latest collaboration

James Blake has returned to the fold following a few months of silence. This past week he took to the BBC Radio 1 airwaves to share a new collaboration with Atlanta rapper, SwaVay, during a broadcast.

The anthemic "Billy" is a case-study trap spectacle; Blake proving his stripes once more as one of hip-hop's unsung heroes, quietly handing out credits on high-profile 2018 projects for Jay Rock, Oneohtrix Point Never, and the Black Panther soundtrack, as well as Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. and Jay-Z's 4;44 in 2017 (albums that dueled over several 2018 Grammys, including "Album of The Year.")

"Billy" follows his tender loosie "Don't Miss It" and the glitched-out ballad, "If The Car Beside You Moves Ahead," his lone solo efforts since the release of the surprise 2016 full-length, The Colour In Anything, and his contributions to Frank Ocean's Endless/blond(e)d behemoth.
