It's been almost two years since Chicago singer Jamila Woods released her beautiful debut album HEAVN. Woods resurfaced some of the songs off that album during her NPR Tiny Desk Concert performance.

NPR released the video of the performance on Monday. Backed by her band, Woods performed “Blk Girl Soldier” and “Holy” from her her HEAVN album.

She also performed "Giovanni," her ode to poet Nikki Giovanni. Woods premiered that track lastyear during SXSW last year.
