Joey Bada$$ Drops Groovy + Political Track "Land of the Free"
Joey Bada$$ just dropped a timely track called "Land of the Free." Joey took to Twitter to apologize for not being able to perform at Yams Day 2017 due to not being allowed into the show by security and blessed us all with a song to make up for it. It's also Joey's birthday. The Brooklyn rapper also performed a freestyle for GQ. Watch it below. The politically charged track's bridge goes "the land of the free is for the free loaders/ leave us dead in the streets then be their organ donors/ they disorganize my people made us all loners/ still got the last names of our slave holders." The song also addresses racism, white supremacy, economic inequality, and the unfair nature of America's political system. The track was produced by Kirk Knight and Adam Pallin. Joey goes all the way in on the track. There's even some lines about incoming President Donald Trump. Joey raps, "Sorry America but I will not be your soldier/ Obama just wasn't enough I need some more closure/ and Donald Trump is not equipped to take this country over/ let's face facts cause we know what's the real motives."
