Joey Badass and Schoolboy Q Connect on Gritty New Single "Rockabye Baby"
Last year, Joey Badass embarked on The Blank Face world tour with Schoolboy Q as the LA rapper's opening act. Today, the cross-coast duo reunites on Badass' new single "Rockabye Baby" ahead of his sophomore album's release. Following the laid-back charge of "Land of the Free," Badass' latest keeps with the edgy political bars, yet another opportunity to defiantly (and triumphantly) exclaim "Fuck Trump," an apparent and necessary thread in the album's theme.
Q bullies the track with his own set of burly bars in the track's second movement, setting the tone for what could be his own release by 2017's end. Time will tell on that front. In the run-up to the album's due date, Badass has taken two separate occasions to deliver potent off-the-dome freestyles. Jump back to have brain shifted.
