Former Fugees members Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean quickly squashed rumors that the rap trio was reuniting.
Speculation of the Fugees getting back together came about on Saturday when Hot 97 DJ Funkmaster Flex played what appeared to be a new Fugees track. Shortly after the song dropped Hill took to her Twitter, writing that the "new" Fugees song was an old one that had been leaked. "Not sure who leaked it, but I have my suspicions," she added.

That following Sunday, Jean backed up Hill's statement on a Twitter post of his own, writing "The song leaked today is an old one from past studio days. I don't condone it in any way and had no clue it was coming."

Last year came the first-ever vinyl reissue of the Fugees' debut album Blunted On Reality. Released in 1994 when the trio was still known as the Tranzlator Crew, Blunted On Reality only sold approximately 12 copies, but has since reached gold and platinum status.
Following that the group changed the name to The Fugees and created the hit follow up album to Blunted On Reality, The Score, two years later, before disbanding in 1997 (and reuniting over seven years later).
