Son of Sound - This Thing Called Life
Son of Sound digs personal favorites for the fifty-minute This Thing Called Life (A Prince Tribute) mix.
I put together a tribute mix of some of my choice Prince joints. I also added some sound bites and dressed it up. Sorry no Purple Rain, 1999 or Little Red Corvettes because we already know where to find those. Don't worry there are plenty of hits, I'm not trying to be a music snob with something to prove either. This project isn't about me at all, it was for me and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. Alright man, gonna leave it here cause I got work to get back to. RIP and once again, thank you.

Krafty Kuts - A Tribute To Prince
Krafty Kuts took a journey to the funkier side with the appropriately titled 2017 A Tribute To Prince mix.
Ahead of my exclusive Prince set in Sydney at the Oxford Arts Centre I decided it was the perfect time to dedicate a mix to one of the most incredible and amazing artists of all time .... the Legendary Prince. I was devastated like the rest of the world at his untimely passing at such a young age, but his music will live on forever. Here are some of the tunes that inspired me and I hope you enjoy this little journey into the funk. RIP Prince.

Luke Solomon - Diamonds & Pearls Tribute Mix
London selector and Classic Record Company chief Luke Solomon pays tribute to Prince with the Diamonds & Pearls Tribute Mix for Gouranga.
The day Prince died and went in to my studio and started to pull out everything I owned. From the age of 13 I was a convert. Beyond fanatical. Collected, bought, watched. I was a fully fledged member of the NPG website even. It felt different. I refused to believe he was dead and it helped my deal with it. I still do.I started to digitise my entire collection. I wanted to put everything in one place and share it with my friends. It felt cathartic. I had texts from friends who knew what an impact he has had on my life, and for a few days I felt like some kind of gate keeper, as I am sure many other fans did. Being a Prince fan always felt like you were in some kind of Purple gang. The same week a friend asked me to play a tribute party at Dalston Superstore and I naturally agreed. I played and recorded the night. I’m pretty sure most people were there to hear Purple Rain - but to me, there was always another side. The result was a collection of my personal favourites, overdubbed with loops from different singles , edits that I have done over the years, and interviews I collected."

Just one of the many Prince mixtapes I'll be dropping over the following weeks to salute the legacy of a great man and the dopest to ever do it. And yes, I did say EVER! And yeah...I've heard of Mike Jackson...I'm good.

Tim Richardson - The Ultimate Prince Tribute
Tim Richardson’s 2016 Prince tribute mix is simply titled The Ultimate. Packed with over eleven hours of jams, I’d say he makes a serious case for the aforementioned title. You be the judge.
