Q-Tip and Demi Lovato get together to cover a classic
On April 6th, Sir Elton John will be honored with a tribute album, which will feature covers from a number of compterary artists like Mary J. Blige. Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Ed Sheeran, and more.
Rapper Q-Tip and pop star Demi Lovato teamed up for a collaboration for the project; the two cover John's iconic "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" single.

The video of the song has just been released. The video was directed by Hector Dockrill and was inspired by the Paris is Burning documentary. (Tip and Lovato don't appear in the video.)

Tip released a statement after the song and video dropped:
Elton's influence shows you that the possibilities of music are endless...He's astute in so many types of music, he does it all and being a hip hop kid, our whole aesthetic was that everything was up for grabs and that's how he has always been to me. I remember the premiere of 'Don't Go Breaking My Heart' with Kiki Dee and seeing it as a kid and loving it ... Rhythmically, we just wanted to make it a little funkier.
With the release of the video, John also put out a clip talking about Q-Tip and Demi Lovato's duet. Watch both videos below.
