Artists Mourn The Death of PnB Rock On Social Media
Hip-hop artists are collectively mourning the death of rapper PnB Rock, who was fatally shot on Monday afternoon in Los Angeles.
PnB Rock's rap peers are coming together to mourn his death. Rock, whose real name is Rakim Allen, was fatally shot on Monday afternoon (September 12) at a Los Angeles Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles restaurant while dining with his girlfriend, Stephanie Sibounheuang.
Following the news of the rapper's death, rap artists have rallied together to mourn the loss, including Meek Mill, 21 Savage, Nicki Minaj and Drake. In one of his final tweets, Rock spoke of the latter, calling for fans to "spam Drake" so he could perform in Toronto.
Meek Mill shared a video of the "Selfish" rapper performing, referencing the disturbing clip of him lying in a pool of his blood after being shot at Roscoe's.

Nicki Minaj openly berated that Rock's location was shared on Instagram prior to his shooting, citing the 2020 death of drill rapper Pop Smoke. When some followers attempted to challenge Minaj on her thoughts, she doubled down, tweeting, "Ima say what I want. As a RAPPER & as a MOTHER. I know 1st hand how these guys feel coming from the streets then being able to provide for their moms."
