We're nearly one month away from the final season of hit FX series Atlanta. On Tuesday (August 2), the network released the official fourth season trailer, where Earn (Donald Glover), Paper Boi (Brian Tyree Henry), Darius (LaKeith Stanfield) and Van (Zazie Beetz) return to The Big Peach after Paper Boi's European tour.
"Listen, the last time we did this, you guys gave me room temp water and charged me extra because it was sunny in Atlanta," Earn says to neighborhood kids trying to hustle. "Ice water bad for you anyway," one of the kids respond.
Earn and Paper Boi's Uncle Willie (Katt Williams) and Earn's father (Isiah Whitlock Jr.) also make an appearance in the trailer, where it seems that Earn and Van are in the process of reconciliation, while Paper Boi and Darius end up on their own surreal encounters.
Like season three, the final season of the FX series will have a two-episode premiere, with the remaining eight episodes airing weekly on Thursdays. The third season has recently gotten 2022 Emmy nominations, including one for Glover (Outstanding Lead Actor in A Comedy Series); Hiro Murai-directed episode "New Jazz" (Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series) and half-hour premiere episode "Three Slaps" (Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series). The show currently has four Emmy awards, including two for Glover and Williams.
The final season of Atlanta premieres September 15 on FX.
