Tracks from Summer Walker, KAYTRANADA, and Burna Boy also made the cut.
Former President Barack Obama shared his favorite books and movies of the year on Monday afternoon. Afterward, he followed up his Songs of the Summer playlist with his Favorite Music of 2019. There was a bit of overlap between the two lists. Lizzo's "Juice," Goldlink's "Joke Ting," and Beyonce's "Mood 4 Eva" made repeat appearances, amongst others.

Ever the diplomatic, Obama obviously intended for the playlist to be all-inclusive. "From hip-hop to country to The Boss," he wrote, "here are my songs of the year. If you're looking for something to keep you company on a long drive or help you turn up a workout, I hope there's a track or two in here that does the trick."
The list features representation from almost every genre, with Koffee's "Taste" and Rema's "Iron Man" also making the list. Additionally, Solange's "Binz," Young Thug's "The London," Wale's "On Chill," and Migos' "Pure Water" made the cut.

This marks the third list Obama's shared since leaving office in 2016. Lists from previous years included names like Janelle Monae, Cardi B, Kendrick Lamar, and others. This past June, Barack and wife Michelle Obama signed an exclusive podcast deal with Spotify. In August, the trailer for their first Netflix project, American Factory was released. The documentary won the Sundance Film Festival award for Best Directing for US Documentary earlier this year.
