Ryan Scarnato of Heroic Hollywood says that there's "never been a CBM" like Wakanda Forever.
"Really strong performances all around too. Namor's motivations were a little weak and I felt the runtime, but it's still towards the top of Phase 4 for me," Scarnato tweeted.

Although Scarnato wasn't completely sold on Namor, Sean O'Connell of Cinema Blend called the anti-hero a "force."
"Ryan Coogler's Black Panther: WakandaForever, above all else, is cathartic," O'Connell tweeted. "An emotional movie about loss, legacy and healing. The story is intimate, but vast with global power struggles and palace intrigue. Tenoch Huerta's Namor is a FORCE, better than I hoped. So much to discuss."

Richard Whittaker of the Austin Chronicle commended Wakanda Forever as the cathartic feature in the MCU.
"The interpersonal storylines, the tackling of the connections between grief and rage and flight, are some of the deepest and most nuanced in the franchise's history, as is the underlying narrative of two powerful nations heading to a needless conflict in the fog of war," he wrote.
While declaring that Marvel saved "the best for last," David Gonzalez of Reel Talk Inc. called Wakanda Forever "an emotionally powerful and cathartic cinematic journey of loss, grief, and moving forward."

“#WakandaForever's going to break a lot of hearts, lift a lot of spirits, and remind everyone what made the first #BlackPanther such a cinematic triumph.

Chadwick may be gone, but he's very much a part of this film's essence in a way that's really, really beautiful. My review:”— Charles PM (@Charles PM) 1667926876
“The Black Panther sequel #WakandaForever was extremely respectful & aware.

It’s a beautiful story & for what it’s worth, I think they made Chadwick Boseman proud.

What an emotional rollercoaster & I’m happy to not feel an ounce of disappointment.

#BlackPanther @theblackpanther”— Roxy Striar (@Roxy Striar) 1667891194
“What Ryan Coogler accomplishes w/ #WakandaForever is astonishing, imo. Aside from the pressure of delivering a sequel to #BlackPanther, itself a global phenomenon, he had to do so while he & his cast & crew were mourning the loss of star Chadwick Boseman
https://t.co/JM8uvQCZC1”— Erik Davis (@Erik Davis) 1667922519
“#BlackPanther #WakandaForever contributes different stakes to the MCU that feel fresh and exciting. Angela Bassett is magnificent. Killer soundtrack. Highly cathartic and respectful to Chadwick Boseman’s memory and the impact he made on the world.”— Jeff Nelson (@Jeff Nelson) 1667886760
“#BlackPanther has so much swagger. Wright fulfills leading woman shoes w/ ease, Bassett crushes, but Huerta’s Namor is my rockstar. Brilliant use of music / costumes too. And shoutout MCU Boston! Criticisms are minuscule - this is the theatrical course correction Phase 4 needed.”— Liam (@Liam) 1667880208
“Black Panther: #WakandaForever is a masterclass in superhero storytelling.

Emotionally rich and technically brilliant, Ryan Coogler’s directing hand is felt throughout. Tenoch Huerta is an absolute standout as Namor.

Chadwick Boseman’s legacy is honored well. My review tomorrow”— Sheraz Farooqi (@Sheraz Farooqi) 1667876643
