This year's Halloween festivities are already well underway. For those of us still able to make a night of it, the celebrating likely ended somewhere between Saturday evening and Sunday morning. For the rest of us, presumably those with a little one to lead out onto the sugary sojourn of a trick or treat outing, the hour's almost arrived.

Which means the clock is quickly ticking down on the opportunity to catch-up on what your favorite rapper of singer donned for this weekend's preliminary run of celebrity costumes. That's not to say that us common folks don't regularly stun with twisted and inventive wardrobes for the evening. For mere mortals with access to limited resources, we do what we can to fabricate something seasonally-appropriate and eye-catching, generally putting to shame the low-risk, high-cost costumes of the pop elite.

But as all things in their impossibly lavish lives, the spectacle is almost all that matters. So let's take a moment to run through some of the fits that are already top of their class, including Nas' best Richard Pryor, Jay-Z's wiry Notorious B.I.G., Usher's near-perfect Rick James, and so many others.
