Chris Brown Accused of Hitting A Woman in His Home By LAPD

Chris Brown took to Instagram shortly afterwards to deny the reports.

Over the weekend, Los Angeles law enforcement reportedly responded to a call to the San Fernando Valley home of Chris Brown. TMZ reports that a woman called police, claiming Brown slapped her in the back of her head. Police have taken a battery report naming Chris as the suspect. However at this point, no arrests have been made. TMZ has posted a video from the scene showing a group of officers surveying the premises.

TMZ sources in law enforcement reportedly say the case will likely be handed off to the city attorney, provided the case remains a misdemeanor charge, and that's if charges materialize from the incident at all. In a post on his Instagram story shortly afterwards, Brown implied the reports were false.

"Y'all so damn [cap]," he wrote, along with laughing emojis.

This obviously wouldn't be the first time Brown had been accused of violent behavior against women. In 2017, Brown's ex-girlfriend Karreuche Tran successfully filed a five-year restraining order against Brown after he stalked and threatened her after their breakup. Eight years earlier, Rihanna did the same after filing reports of physical abuse.

This past May, Brown had a brush with police after hosting a party in violation of COVID-19 restrictions. 300 to 500 people reportedly showed up before police broke up the event.

Brown's run-ins with the law haven't stopped him from working, however. He recently appeared on tracks with artists like Wale, H.E.R., YG, and Young Thug.
