Could J. Cole Be Dropping 'The Off-Season' Album in Two Weeks?
Dreamville signee Bas may have accidentally revealed the release date for a forthcoming J. Cole project.
The last year has been pretty eventful for J.Cole, between the birth of his second child, appearing at protests for George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, briefly beefing with Noname, and reportedly training to tryout for the NBA. Back in July, he dropped "The Climb Back" and "Lion King on Ice," the first two tracks from his forthcoming album The Fall Off. On Wednesday night, fellow Dreamville member Bas may have leaked the release date of a surprise project.
"The Off-Season," Bas captioned an Instagram picture of the two in-studio. "Pack your bags...in two weeks." The post was quickly deleted, but not before fellow Dreamville signee Cozz liked the post. As expected, the post immediately got fans talking on social media.

In an Instagram post from December, Cole posted a list of goals to be accomplished in the self-appointed The Fall Off era. The first two goals, already accomplished, were feature verses and Return of the Dreamers 3. The last remaining tasks are titled "It's A Boy" and The Fall Off.
"I still got some goals I gotta check off [before] I scram," he captioned the post. The project would be J. Cole's first full-length release since 2018's KOD. Back in November, on the sixth anniversary of 2014 Forest Hills Drive, Cole released the previously-lost video for "Fire Squad."
Stay tuned for further updates on J.Cole, The Off-Season, and The Fall Off.
