Daughters of The Notorious B.I.G. and Jam Master Jay Are Opening A New York Style Pizzeria

T'yanna Wallace and Tyra Myricks, daughters of The Notorious B.I.G. and Jam Master Jay, will open Juicy Pizza on June 12th.

The city of Los Angeles will soon be getting a slice of authentic, New York style pizza on behalf of hip-hop royalty. On June 12th T'yanna Wallace and Tyra Myricks, the daughters of The Notorious B.I.G. and Jam Master Jay, will open Juicy Pizza. The grand opening will be a private event at the site at 615 North La Brea.

"The more I thought about how to bring that New York theme to Los Angeles, I felt, who represents New York more than Biggie Smalls?" Myricks said in an interview with Business Insider. She then called Wallace, who, according to Myricks, loved the idea.

Pizzas will range from $4-5 slices of cheese and pepperoni to more niche New York-influenced options: oxtail, beef and broccoli, and jerk chicken pies as well as chopped cheese egg rolls. Juicy Pizza will also sell merchandise and clothing from Myrick's personal line, and house a members-only cannabis lounge in the store, coordinated by the Black-owned Presidential Cannabis. Follow Juicy Pizza's official Instagram account for further updates on the shop's hours and merchandise.

"Not only today," the statement continued, "but every day we celebrate your influence and we are elated to celebrate it daily through Los Angeles' newest pizza shop."

"I was like I don't want you to invest anything," Myricks said about the initial pitch to Wallace. "Let's just make money together. Let's make moves."

Myricks and Wallace also own their own fashion lines. At the time of the Insider interview, Myricks was working on a site for celebrity client merchandising, a branch of her branding agency 12:06 Branding. Myricks also boasts the first Black-owned gym in Los Angeles, The Method, and  EntrepHERneur, a resource platform for new and growing entrepreneurs.
