Dave Chappelle surely has had one of the more interesting viewing experiences for Quentin Taratino's latest film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
According to Joe Rogan, Chappelle ate psilocybin mushrooms that a fan gave him while watching the film.
Rogan talked about his experience doing a stand-up show with the comedian at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington, on August 2.
"I'm pretty sure he ate mushrooms from a fan the other day," Rogan says on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, before talking about their Tacoma Dome show.
He recounts the night and how the event ended with a Q&A between himself and Chappelle.
"People are rushing the stage, it's madness," Rogan says. "The show is at least three-and-ahalf, four hours old by the time it was over. So the show ends at 12:30-ish, we go immediately from the arena to a movie theater that Dave had rented out."
"We have a private screening of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood at one o'clock in morning," he continues. "Dave is eating mushrooms that some fucking guy gave him in the crowd."
When asked if he also took some of the mushrooms Rogan said no and adds: "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."
However, Rogan did say that Chappelle gifted him a bag of unlabeled edibles.
"I don't know where the fuck they came from," Rogan says. "They were in a bag."
A few weeks ago, Chappelle said that he has an "exclusive leak" from Black Star's forthcoming new album.
