Eddie Murphy Says There Could Be A 'Coming 2 America' Stand-Up Tour
Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall recently joined Jimmy Kimmel Live to discuss Coming 2 America.
On Monday night, Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The two discussed Coming 2 America, their decades-long friendship, Eddie's obsession with MonoNeon, and much more. Stream the full interview below.
Towards the end of the interview, Kimmel discussed the two's plans for after the comedy industry re-opens. According to Eddie, a stand-up tour with all the comics from the movie could be on the way.
"It's so many comics in the movie," he said. "You've got myself, Arsenio, Jermaine Fowler, Trevor Noah, Michael Blackson, Leslie Jones...Tracy Morgan. There's a lot of comics so we could actually do a Coming 2 America tour, we could do the whole country...we could call the tour 'Coming All Over America."
There's no telling when this tour would take place, or what type of venues nationwide would be able to host what would surely attract thousands. However, with states re-opening and vaccine rollouts underway, there will likely be a high demand for the tour.
Eddie also revealed that for the first few iterations of the movie's script, Tracy Morgan was originally set to play his son. However, after the crew realized that there was no way he'd realistically look younger than him, that plan was quickly shelved. Morgan now appears as as Uncle Reem in the film
Coming 2 America hits Amazon Prime Video on March 5th. Stay tuned for further updates regarding Eddie Murphy, Coming 2 America, and the possible stand-up tour.
