According to TMZ, Eddie Murphyis in talks with Netflix to produce his first standup special in more than 30 years. According to the site, Murphy's team has been negotiating with Netflix to an undisclosed amount of specials.
Reports have the deal in the $70 million range.

To put that number in some context, Dave Chappelle got $60 million for three specials, while Chris Rock got $40 million for two.

On a recent appearance on Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Murphy hinted at this, saying:
I’m going to do it again...Everything just has to be right. You have to get up there and start working out. Still gotta go to the comedy club.
In 2015, Murphy famously did standup after decades away from the standup stage.
