Elon Musk Gets Mercilessly Booed At Dave Chappelle Show
During a Dave Chappelle stand-up comedy show in San Francisco on Sunday, Elon Musk was invited on stage only to receive vicious booing.
San Francisco was a tough crowd for Elon Musk. On Sunday night (December 11), the Twitter CEO was invited onstage by Dave Chappelle towards the end of the comedian's show at Chase Center, only to receive ruthless booing from audience members.
“Ladies and gentlemen, make some noise for the richest man in the world,” Chappelle said, introducing Musk.
Boos from the crowd ensued while Musk wandered around the stage with a microphone in-hand. Not knowing how to respond to the negative reaction, Musk started to pace and wave.
“Cheers and boos, I see. Elon...” Chappelle said.
“Hey Dave,” Musk responded, as boos continued.

“It sounds like some of the people you fired are in the audience,” Chappelle joked, adding, “All these people who are booing, and I’m just pointing out the obvious, you have terrible seats."
Chappelle, 49, attempted to make light of the awkward situation, joking that Musk's “whole business model is f*** Earth, I’m leaving anyway.”
“What kind of p**** they got up there? That’s what we’ll be doing,” Chappelle said, according to a second video (although no phones were allowed at the show).
The crowd seemed to ease up after a few jokes from Chappelle, but would return to booing whenever Musk tried to speak.
“Dave, what should I say?” Musk said, embarrassed that the crowd wasn't pulling any punches.
“Don’t say nothing. It’ll only spoil the moment,” Chappelle said. “Do you hear that sound, Elon? That’s the sound of pending civil unrest. I can’t wait to see what store you decimate next, m***********. You shut the f*** up.”
Clearly frustrated with the Chase Center audience, Chappelle got hostile before closing the show.
“I wish everyone in this auditorium peace and the joy of feeling free,” Chappelle said. “And your pursuit of happiness. Amen.”
A man onstage then asked the D.C. native to shout his famous circa-2000s catchphrase "I'm rich, b****!" He complies, then asking Musk to follow suit.
Musk's appearance at Chase Center comes after recent weeks of tension with current and former Twitter employees. A person who posted a video of the Tesla founder's brush with comedy on Sunday night also appears to have had their account suspended or deactivated.

Twitter user, James Yu, who attended the San Francisco show, gave more commentary to the incident.
