Fortnite Gamers Can Now Rock Wu-Tang Clan Gear

Wu-Tang Clan has teamed up with online game Fortnite with a new gear collection, which gamers can access beginning on April 23rd.

Wu-Tang Clan is coming to Fortnite. The online game has announced a new collaboration with the group, offering their throwback Wu Wear line with skins 'Throwback BG' and 'B.R.I.T.E,' accessories including a Wu Boom Box spray and reactive backpack, Wu-Tang hands emote and an all-new loading screen.

“Fortnite has been in my household for years,” said the group's founding member RZA. “It’s been a pleasure and joy watching the game evolve, while becoming the go-to pastime. This collaboration is a multigenerational ‘drip’ of swag and cool. If what you say is true, Fortnite and Wutang could be Fortangerous.”

On Tuesday, Wu-Tang announced that an upcoming tour alongside Nas which will begin on August 30th. Titled 'NY State of Mind,' the acts will embark on the 25-city tour with stops in Toronto, Houston, Oakland, Los Angeles and more.

With a lot to celebrate this month, Wu-Tang was recently honored with their 1993 debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) being archived in the US Library of Congress. The album is included in 25 recordings archived by the cultural institution this year, along with A Tribe Called Quest (Low End Theory) and Alicia Keys (Songs in A Minor).

“Wu-Tang Clan’s 1993 album ‘Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)’ would shape the sound of hardcore rap and reasserted the creative capacity of the East Coast rap scene,” the Library of Congress said about the album.

Wu-Wear gear will be available in the Fortnite item shop beginning Saturday, April 23rd at 8PM ET.
