FX Orders Second Season of John Singleton's 'Snowfall'

Singleton's infectious FX drama will return for another season
With Atlanta, Legion and the potential return of Louie, FX is slowly building one of the best rosters on the small screen. Its' latest addition, Snowfall, appears to be on the brink of joining the other programs in the favor of critics and pedestrians alike.
Executively produced by John Singleton (Boyz N The Hood, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Baby Boy) the show chronicles the Los Angeles crack epidemic through the lens of a resourceful and industrious teen of humble beginnings. And now, according to AV Club, the network has extended a second to Snowfall, only five episodes into its debut season. With an average of five million viewers tuning in each week and a steady narrative full of twists and pluralities, it's not hard to see the motive here. Also, the soundtrack to the series is of particular note, lacing Snowfall with period-perfect sounds of the era (mid-to-late-eighties cuts douse each and every episode with heavy funk, hip-hop and r&b.)
You can tune into FX tonight at 9pm for the latest episode. On to the next one.
