Here's a Quick Rundown of Cardi B & JT of City Girls Spat

On Monday, Cardi B and JT of City Girls traded shots on Twitter after the "Tomorrow 2" rapper referred to JT as Nicki Minaj's "lapdog."

The claws came out between Cardi B and JT of City Girls on Twitter. On Monday (October 3), the two rappers got into a misunderstanding after Cardi celebrated her recent GloRilla collaboration "Tomorrow 2" hitting #9 on the Billboard Hot 100.

When a "JT hate page" went after the City Girls member for her "Super Freaky Girl" remix with Nicki Minaj, BIA, Akbar V, Maliibu Mitch and Katie Got Bandz, JT congratulated GloRilla, telling fans to stream the "F.N.F. (Let's Go)" remix and "Super Freaky Girl" remix.

The tweet didn't sit well with Cardi, who made a subtweet, seemingly towards JT, calling her a "lapdog." Another user accused JT of intentionally not congratulating Cardi for "Tomorrow 2," joking that Nicki Minaj will “will get the whip.” JT defended herself, as she and Latto were on the "F.N.F." remix and Cardi's "been having top 10s."

Cardi's "lapdog" shot also resulting in JT firing back with "wiener dog" and "I hope you don't think you no BULLY!!!"

The two rappers threw more insults, sending Twitter into a firestorm although both claimed to also be chatting via DM. Cardi hit a nerve in separate tweets, claiming that Pierre "P" Thomas of Quality Control Music was dissatisfied with City Girls' music.

Cardi also posted YouTube views for her "Twerk" collaboration with City Girls, which boasted higher viewership than the rest of the duo's music videos.

Cardi concluded the back-and-forth, saying the "DM's are getting more personal," although she retweeted a video of Thomas telling JT to emulate Cardi while rapping.

During the feud, Yung Miami of City Girls and Nicki Minaj made tweets of their own, laughing off Cardi and JT.
