The clip finds Smith telling Snoop Dogg how his Gayle King comments made her feel.

Snoop Dogg will serve as the guest of the latest episode of Jada Pinkett Smith's Red Table Talk series. Ahead of the episode's release on Wednesday (February 26), a preview clip has been released which finds Smith explaining to Snoop how his comments about Gayle King made her feel.

Earlier this month, King faced backlash after a snippet of her interview with WNBA star Lisa Leslie surfaced. In the clip, King asked Leslie about Kobe Bryant’s rape trial from 2003, and if it is complicated for her as a woman and former professional basketball player. In response to the question, Snoop took to Instagram to call out King, telling her: "How dare you try to tarnish my motherf**king homeboy's reputation, punk motherf**ker. Respect the family and back off, b**ch, before we come get you."

"When you first came out and you said what you said, you know, in regards to Gayle, my heart dropped. I felt like not only were you talking to Gayle, but you were talking to me," Smith can be seen saying to a teary-eyed Snoop in the preview clip. "I was like, 'Oh no, Snoop has now taken his power flow away from me, away from Willow, away from my mother...Not Snoop!' Right?"

"And so that’s one of the reasons I felt like I really wanted to have the conversation with you in the spirit of healing," she added.

Snoop has since apologized for his comments directed at Gayle.
