Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne made the time to homage late John Wick: Chapter 4 costar Lance Reddick on Monday night (March 20). During the John Wick: Chapter 4 premiere at TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, Reeves recalled Reddick, who played Charon in the action film franchise.
“Every time you were in his presence, he was such a special person, special artist, and he had a grace and dignity, and a passion for life and his craft,” Reeves told The Hollywood Reporter before the JW4 screening. “Just to be in his light and to be in his presence and get a chance to work with him, every day was special.”

Fishburne echoed Reeves' praises, saying that The Wire alum was “the heart of these movies in many ways.” Fishburne continued, “We lost our brother. But we made a beautiful movie, it’s the best of all of them, and I think people are going to love it and that’s what it’s about, right? He wouldn’t want us to not do this.”

Reddick, 60, died on Friday (March 17) in Los Angeles, found unresponsive in his home at 9:30 AM. The actor was scheduled to appear on The Kelly Clarkson Show and did not attend the official JW4 premiere, instead posting a video of himself at home with his dogs.
