Kimora took to Instagram to speak on the allegations and offered somewhat of a neutral stance, writing:
"I add my voice to the chorus of those speaking out against sexual harassment in all its forms. I have known Russell for over 25 years. We were close friends, married, divorced and have remained friends, co-parents and partners throughout it all. These allegations against him are nothing like the person I have known in all that time. I have known him to be a caring and supporting father and someone who has worked tirelessly to uplift disenfranchised communities."
"My sincere hope is that anyone faced with harassment or assault reports it to their organization and/or law enforcement, though I understand that in many cases, this may not be possible," she concluded her post with.
Six women have alleged sexual assault against Simmons, with the most recent being documentary filmmaker Jennifer Jarosik. In a lawsuit filed Wednesday, Jarosik alleges that the incident took place at an August 2016 meeting at Simmons' home to discuss a film he had agreed to finance and co-produce.
Jarosik then alleges that Simmons propositioned her for sex upon arriving at his home and, upon saying no to him, was pushed onto Simmons' bed. Within the pursuit Simmons pushed Jarosik off his bed "and then [Simmons] pounced on her while she was still in shock and fear, and proceeded to rape her."
Jarosik told several friends about the incident at the time, including Martin Dunkerton, her film director, and Gene Lo, her editor. The documentary filmmaker is seeking $5 million in damages.
