It won't be long now until fans finally get a taste of what Larry David has in store for us in the anxiously-awaited ninth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Ever since co-star JB Smoove spilled the beans on-stage at The 10th Annual Roots Picnic in Philly, eyes have been fixed upon the network, whose judgment in recent years, with the exception of Issa Rae's Insecure and maybe Ballers (if that still does it for you,) has proven inconsistent with a legacy of pioneering in television. How anyone could think that mere mention of Confederate, even in its still undeveloped form, is a good idea in 2017, is beyond reconciliation. Sometimes a bad idea doesn't deserve the time to be refined. In any case, a new trailer for HBO's fall program standout (David Simon's The Duece should also be of interest) has arrived, finding a predictably reluctant hero in the Seinfeld co-creator, who catches a glimpse of the call to action (a Batman-esque signal of Larry's indifferent mug) and, like Bartleby, opts out.
