The next heavyweight beat battle is officially on. On Wednesday afternoon, Swizz Beatz announced that Scott Storch and Mannie Fresh would go head-to-head on Instagram Live.
"Attention," Swizz wrote. "We have a change of plans for tonight! We now have Mannie Fresh vs. Scott Storch 9 PM EST on Live. Let the games begin!"
Originally, Storch and T-Pain would face off on Wednesday. After further review and comments from fans, Timbaland and Swizz decided the matchup didn't really make sense.
“Bro. I was ready. Dub or L I stand behind my shit. Tim and Swizz hit me and said they were lookin at comments and came to the fact that producer vs songwriter just doesn’t make sense. I didn’t back out lol I was ready to have fun on live shit. Its comin tho”— T-Pain (@T-Pain) 1585761862

Mannie and Scott will put their 20 best beats against each other on Instagram Live.
"Monster producer up against a beast producer," Pain said of the new matchup. "Makes a lot more sense. The ppl spoke up so @timbaland and @therealswizzz are looking for somebody that makes more sense to go up against me...Ngl when they hit me with the [Scott Storch] call I was [like] 'nigga that's weird but let's go' but yea. Producer [versus] producer makes more sense for sure."
Stay tuned for future matchups.
