Mike Tyson Calls Hulu A "Slave Master" Over Stealing His Story For 'MIKE'
Mike Tyson went to social media on Saturday to slam upcoming Hulu biopic miniseries MIKE, which centers the heavyweight boxer's life.
Mike Tyson is putting Hulu on the ropes. On Saturday (August 6), the legendary boxer expressed disapproval over upcoming biopic miniseries MIKE, which will star Trevante Rhodes in the titular role.
On Twitter, Tyson posted multiple grievances toward the streaming platform, while also praising Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White for refusing to promote the miniseries.
“Hulu tried to desperately pay my brother Dana White millions without offering me a dollar to promote their slave master take over story about my life,” Tyson wrote. “He turned it down because he honors friendship and treating people with dignity. I’ll never forget what he did for me just like I’ll never forget what Hulu stole from me.”

On Instagram, Tyson shared another post, alleging that Hulu "stole" his "life story" without compensation and saying that the platform was "the streaming version of the slave master."

This marks Tyson's latest criticism of the miniseries, as he disapproved MIKE being green-lit in February 2021, according to Variety.
“This announcement on the heels of social disparities in our country is a prime example of how Hulu’s corporate greed led to this tone-deaf cultural misappropriation of the Tyson life story,” Tyson said in a statement at the time.
Alongside Rhodes, Laura Harrier will star as Tyson’s former wife Robin Givens, along with Li Eubanks (Desiree Washington) and Russell Hornsby (Don King). The first two episodes of MIKE will premiere on Hulu on August 25.
