Kang is Marvel's New Big Bad in the First 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania' Trailer

Marvel Studios has dropped the official trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, introducing new supervillain Kang the Conqueror.

Ant-Man is headed to the Quantum Realm in forthcoming action-adventure film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. On Monday (October 24), Marvel Studios released the official trailer, reintroducing protagonist Scott Lang/Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne/Wasp (Evangeline Lilly)

The superhero duo, along with Hope's parents Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) accidentally open the Quantum Realm with Lang's daugher, Cassie (Kathryn Newton), when they're met by otherworldly creatures and new villain Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors).

"This place... it isn't what you think," Kang says in the trailer. "I can get you home and give you more time, if you help me. So, what's it gonna be, Ant-Man?"

A variant of Kang last appeared in Disney+ series Loki, with Majors portraying 'He Who Remains' in a showdown between series protagonists Loki and Sylvie.

“I’ve been dubbed many names by many people," He Who Remains says in the first season finale "For All Time, Always." "A ruler. A conqueror. He Who Remains. A jerk. But it’s not as simple as a name.”

Following the release of the new Ant-Man, Majors will return to the big screen in March alongside Michael B. Jordan in Creed III as new antagonist Damian. The Texas native will extend his role in the MCU with Avengers: The Kang Dynasty releasing in 2025.

“It was the character and dimensions of Kang [that drew him to the role]. And the potential that it had. I thought, I’ll take a chance on that," Majors told Men's Health in a recent profile.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania premieres February 17, 2023. Watch the full trailer below.
