Vivica A. Fox is Caping for Zendaya to Play Her Vengeful Daughter in 'Kill Bill Vol. 3'
The actress put out a call in a new interview.
Vivica A. Fox is making a compelling case for Zendaya to play her bloodthirsty successor should Quentin Tarantino decide to actually run with a third installment of the Kill Bill films.
In a new interview with NME, Fox -- whose character was killed by Uma Thurman's "The Bride" in the opening scene of Kill Bill Vol. 1 -- caped for the Euphoria actress to be cast as her daughter, who would presumably exact revenge for the murder of Fox's short-lived Vernita Green.
For his part, Tarantino did leave room for a trilogy in the two-parter's plot. After she's slain Green, Thurman's character notices the young daughter watching her pull and clean the blade that killed her mother. She tells Green's daughter, Nikki, "It was not my intention to do this in front of you. For that I’m sorry. But you can take my word for it, your mother had it coming. When you grow up, if you still feel raw about it, I’ll be waiting."
Obviously nothing's in the book just yet. But Tarantino has been discussing the prospect of a third and final chapter to the Kill Bill films for ages. In fact, he threw out a plot centered on Nikki Green as early as 2004. "I’ve already got the whole mythology: Sofie Fatale will get all of Bill’s money. She’ll raise Nikki, who’ll take on the Bride. Nikki deserves her revenge every bit as much as the Bride deserved hers," the director told Entertainment Weekly, days before Vol. 2 even hit theaters.
One thing's certain, though. Should Zendaya be cast, Fox is all aboard. She added, "I’d get on the phone with my agent immediately, making sure that I could be a part of it. Tarantino has a great way of figuring out how to bring a character back even if they died, in a flashback or something. People have been waiting, and I’m in the waiting line too!"
