Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key Reunite in Teaser for New Animated Movie
Arriving on Netflix in 2022, Wendell and Wild is co-written by Jordan Peele and director Henry Selick.
Approaching seven years since it was first announced, Netflix finally has a bit of Wendell and Wild to show us. And it officially offers a (very brief) glimpse at a much-anticipated Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key reunion.
The duo star as the titular demons in an animated film directed by Coraline's Henry Selick, who co-wrote the film with Peele. in the 30-second clip shared today by Netflix, we don't get much in the way of a plot reveal, but in just a few moments of on-screen action -- staring down as they candidly resurrect a scorpion-ish creature -- it's clear the chemistry hasn't gone anywhere and Selick's gothic cartoon motif is in full effect. Set for release at some point next year after literally years of delays even before the pandemic hit, the film will mark the former sketch partners' first appearance on-screen together since their 2016 film, Keanu.
