Watch Will Go From West Philly to LA in New 'Bel-Air' Teaser

The second teaser for 'Bel-Air' features antagonist Will Smith moving from West Philly to California after a street ball fight.

Less than a month away from the show's premiere, a new teaser for Bel-Air has arrived. Soundtracked by Meek Mill, the teaser shows antagonist Will Smith (Jabari Parks) getting into a street ball quarrel in West Philly. In the fight's aftermath, his mother decides to send him to Bel-Air to live with relatives.

"Set in modern-day America, Peacock’s new one-hour drama series Bel-Air imagines the beloved sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air through a new, dramatic take on Will’s complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air," said the series' statement. "As these two worlds collide, Will reckons with the power of second chances while navigating the conflicts, emotions, and biases of a world far different from the only one he’s ever known."

Executive produced by Will Smith, the show is inspired by filmmaker Morgan Cooperwho directed a dramatized version of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in 2019. Returning as director, executive producer and co-writer, Cooper with be joined by fellow executive producers Smith, Quincy Jones, Benny Medina, and original series creators Andy Borowitz and Susan Borowitz.

“With this dramatic reimagining, we wanted to create a show that stands on its own while honoring the spirit and innovation of the original series," said Cooper in a statement. "Because Bel-Air is a drama, we're able to really peel back the layers of these characters and themes in a way that you simply couldn't do 30 years ago in the half-hour sitcom format. We're able to go have tough conversations that challenge perspectives. At its core, Bel-Air is a celebration of the black experience through the perspective of a family."

The hour-long series will premiere on February 13th, launching with three episodes with new episodes released weekly on Peacock.
