Wesley Snipes Returns to Comic Books with New Graphic Novel 'The Exiled'
With Gifted Rebels and PCB Entertainment, Wesley Snipes and his company Maandi House Studios have created a new graphic novel, The Exiled.
Wesley Snipesmay no longer be Blade, but he's entering a new comic book universe. The actor has announced that he's co-created an upcoming graphic novel called The Exiled as part of his company Maandi House Studios, in partnership with Gifted Rebels and PCB Entertainment.
According to Deadline, The Exiled follows Detective Niles “Roach” Washington, who's in pursuit of a serial killer following a lethal gas attack. Using tortuous tools that are over 5,000 years old, the serial killer rips the spines from his victims, and Roach is ostracized for his theories about the attacks. Remaining consistent in his pursuit, Roach continues searching for the killer using his instincts.

Gifted Rebels’ Adam Lawson, is adapting the comic book script from the story he co-created with Snipes and PCB Entertainment’s President Keith Arem. Gabriel “Eskivo” Santos is behind the graphic novel's artwork, while Valentina Bianconi handles the colors. A surprise feature in the upcoming graphic novel are hidden codes, which will offer access to digital collectibles and exclusive events.
“Comics let you explore big worlds. Since Blade, I have been attracted to origin stories and developing characters,” said Snipes. “Now, I get to build “Roach” as a character from the ground up and I dig that.”
On June 21st, The Exiled will begin it's crowd-funding campaign on Kickstarter. Supporters will receive a Collector’s Edition 140-page graphic novel, a manga-sized “Go Version” of The Exiled, and an additional story set. Day-one backers will also receive campaign-only 120mm figurine of Detective Washington. Once funding for The Exiled is complete, the graphic novel and an accompanying board game will be published through Gifted Rebels.
