Okayafrica TV: The Lijadu Sisters Talk Welfare, Fans, and Love in 'Lijadu Lessons' Pt. 9 & 10
Nigerian afrobeat pop stars the Lijadu Sisters share their thoughts on the people's relationship to welfare, their own relationship to their fans and love in the final installments of Okayafrica TV's "Lijadu Lessons" series. Okayafrica TV was pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous wisdom the siblings shared with them at their home this year in the Bronx. They are wise, breathing expressions of love and I hope it's been as much of a pleasure listening for y'all as it's been for me. Their gems are enlightening--magical almost--and this week they discuss the importance of perseverance and faith in your calling.
Witness the story come full circle and check out the full series over at Okayafrica. I promise you'll find inspiration somewhere in somewhere in their dialogue and maybe even be inspired to get your act together and get responsible. And if you're not hip to the afrobeat scene already, I recommend doing some research to get familiar with some of these OG Nigerian artists because their work is phenomenal. Check out parts 9 and 10 of "Lijadu Lessons" down below.
