Jamie Foxx is Out of the Hospital, Recovering, According to Daughter

Jamie Foxx is out of the hospital and recovering, according to his oldest daughter Corinne Foxx.

Corinne shared the update on her Instagram story, adding that Jamie was just playing "pickleball yesterday." She also added that they have a "work announcement" coming next week. The update seems to be a result to the escalating media coverage centered around the health of Jamie Foxx, who is now 55. Last month, Corinne announced that Jamie "experienced a medical complication" while he was in Atlanta filming Back In Action, an upcoming Netflix action-comedy movie with Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close.

In her initial statement, Corinne asked for "privacy during this time” so there has been very little official updates. This has caused speculation to run wild. Gossip publications have posted that the family is "preparing for the worst" while, on Friday, May 12, veteran culture journalist Touré sent a post on Instagram saying that Foxx was in "ICU." (He later deleted the post and put up another one saying that Corinne was the best source for updates.)

Although he has not been seen publicly since the news was revealed, he sent an update to his fans on Instagram on May 3rd. In an Instagram post he wrote, "Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed."

Jamie Foxx's next role is in They Cloned Tyrone, which is coming out on Netflix on July 21. The movie, which also stars John Boyega and Teyonah Parris, has been described as "If The Truman Show drank a bottle of vodka" by the movie's writer-director, Juel Taylor.
