With a prison release date set for this week, 03 Greedo has returned with new mixtape Free 03. The Watts-raised rapper dropped the project at midnight (January 9), a 14-track collaboration with producer Mike Free, consisting of features with KenTheMan ("Drop Down"), OHGEESY ("I Can't Control Myself"), BlueBucksClan ("Pourin") and the late Drakeo The Ruler ("No Free Features"). Prior to "No Free Features," Greedo and Drakeo The Ruler partnered on tracks “Ion Rap Beef,” “Out the Slums,” and “Let’s Go.”
Free 03 also marks Greedo's latest project since Load It Up Vol. 01 with RONRONTHEPRODUCER in 2021, which also had appearances from Key Glock, Chief Keef, Sada Baby, Rob Vicious and more.
Free 03 isn't Greedo's only release this month. According to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, the rapper, legal name Jason Jamal Jackson, is set to be released on parole on Thursday (January 12). In 2018, Jackson was sentenced to 20 years in prison after agreeing to a plea deal for gun and drug charges in Texas.
“Out of respect for Greedo's right to break the news however he wants to break it, I can't officially confirm anything.

But this Texas parole info is accurate. 03 should be coming home at some point this week. A 5-year nightmare finally coming to an end. 🍇https://t.co/uWR9CYJqDC”— Otto Von Biz Markie (@Otto Von Biz Markie) 1673232742
In 2016, the now-35-year-old was arrested by Potter County Sheriff deputies after being stopped on a highway. While conducting a search of his vehicle, officials discovered methamphetamine and two stolen pistols. Jackson later faced a possible 300-year sentence for first-degree possession of a controlled substance and third-degree unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Jackson's maximum sentence year was 2038 after being listed eligible for parole in 2020 and first projected to be released in 2026.
