DJ BJ Refutes Reports That 21 Savage’s ICE Detention Was Instigated by Arrest of Affiliate Young Nudy
ICE apprehended 21 Savage on Sunday during an operation reported to have been targeting rapper Young Nudy on unrelated charges.

Nudy, born Quantavious Thomas was booked on separate aggravated assault and gang charges and was reportedly arrested with 21 Savage, his cousin, and collaborator, according to a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement official.
Savage, whose real name is Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was taken into custody by ICE on Sunday morning.
According to the source, both rappers, and additional people were arrested after a traffic stop.
But Nudy affiliate DJ BJ claims the reports are false. On Sunday night he tweeted, "Savage and Nudy were in separate cars... and it wasn't even ADP."

Donovan Farley, a reporter who had interviewed an ICE spokesman, says the rep told him 21 was in a car with Nudy and two others when ADP pulled them over. The stop apparently instigated the ICE investigation.
Savage was held on ICE's allegations that he is from the United Kingdom and has been living in the U.S. with expired documentation since 2006.

Farley later reported that the spokesperson "unequivocally denied" the circulated quote in which ICE was charging 21's public persona is "false."
DeKalb police have not yet released the details of Young Nudy’s arrest.
