The Roots Tap 9th Wonder and Salaam Remi as Co-Producers for New Album
The Roots add two more legends to the End Game roster
Rumor has it The Roots are creeping back up to new album o'clock. Which is good news across the board, as they've already begun to expand the cavalry with the addition of Stro Elliot to the band's ranks.

New details on the project are arriving by the week. On Monday, Black Thought phoned one into XXL, revealing that both Salaam Remi and 9th Wonder will be contributing to the album as co-producers. He discussed a secret writing retreat at Electric Lady Studios in NYC, home of the Soulquarian camp. Earlier this year, Questlove shared a video from said retreat, overjoyed by the prospect of working with Remi and fellow man-on-the-skins, Karriem Riggins, who is currently at work on Common's follow-up to Black America Again with Robert Glasper.

While no date has been set for the release of The Roots' 12th studio album (17th overall,) it is expected to arrive at some point this year. Keep your eyes and ears on us for the next transmission.
