Watch A Boogie Play a High School Hero & Flip a Michael Jackson Sample in "Look Back At It"

It's Boogie season.

A Boogie wit da Hoodie just dropped his latest video, and it's for his new single, "Look Back At It."

The track, which appears on the Bronx rapper's new album, Hoodie SZN, unexpectedly interpolates the late Michael Jackson's "Remember The Time" and "You Rock My World." A Boogie does the classic justice as he raps, scats, and sings MJ's familiar runs atop the J. Sweet-produced instrumental.

The music video finds him in the center of a high school trying to win over the girl he sings about— "The way you walkin', the way you talkin', is all because of me."

“I was inspired to shoot 'Look Back at It' in a high school because I’m like a voice of the youth,” the 23-year-old said in a statement. “When the youth sees me in a classroom I want them to be inspired to accomplish their dreams. I was just like them in a classroom at one point. It all starts in a classroom.”

The video, which features a cameo from the viral backpack floss dance kid, is not as great as the song.

In an interview with Hot 97 and XXL, A Boogie explained that he's always been a huge Michael Jackson fan and thee two songs he samples are his favorites because of their music videos. Getting those samples cleared had also reportedly delayed the release of "Look Back At It."

The rapper released his sophomore album on December 21st. It debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200, then on Jan. 14, became the number one album in the country off streaming alone — the album only sold 823 digital downloads.
