The supervillain of rap is on the loose

UpWhat was once too good to be true in premise, is now precisely that in practice. Today, Adult Swim has announced the early termination of their 15-week campaign for DOOM's The Missing Notebook Rhymes. The campaign was adjacent to their own year-long weekly singles series and was just shy of its midway point after week 7's release of "Notebook 06."

Per Mass Appealthe URL for the DOOM release page appeared to crash yesterday morning ahead of the noon release of week 8's offering, showing only the image below before redirecting to Adult Swim's general music landing page.

The campaign facilitated the release of vaulted collaborations with Kool Keith, Jay Electronica, Alchemist and the late Sean Price. All but the Price track have disappeared along with any trace of the project, as it was included on the posthumous album, Imperius Rex. In a statement delivered to Mass Appeal, the late-night animation network has to be "ending our relationship with DOOM, and thus, the remaining Missing Notebook Rhymes will unfortunately have to remain…missing."
