Ari Lennox Drops New Summer Walker-Assisted Track 'Queen Space'
Ari Lennox has dropped new single "Queen Space" featuring Summer Walker, due to appear on her sophomore album age/sex/location.
Ari Lennox and Summer Walker protect their energy on new collaboration "Queen Space." In preparation for Lennox's sophomore album age/sex/location, on Wednesday (August 31), the R&B vocalist unveiled her latest single, following "Pressure" and "Hoodie."
Ahead of dropping "Queen Space," Lennox posted a video of J. Cole in the studio with Lennox and producer Elite, originally shared by Dreamville Records co-founder and J. Cole’s manager Ib Hamad.
“I can’t wait 'til this shit come out,” Cole says in the clip.
After Lennox announced the title of her sophomore album, J. Cole went to Instagram to post a text from the Shea Butter Baby singer about what age/sex/location represents to her, which also references chat rooms from the early aughts of internet culture.
“Transitional space. Very vulnerable codependent and validation seeking part of my life,” Lennox wrote. “I remember the countless times I was kicked out of dating apps because they didn’t think I was really myself, it reminded me of those age/sex/location days where I actually wasn’t being myself in those chat rooms.”

Elsewhere in the message, Lennox explained the new phase of her life where she's “Allowing accountability and maturing. Allowing growth to happen. Allowing self worth and self love and inner work to happen. Allowing therapy. Allowing dating me to happen. Doing things I like to do whenever I want.”
Prior to the release of "Queen Space," Summer Walker also shared a snippet of the song on Twitter, getting the seal of approval from Lennox herself. The two last collaborated on Walker's "Unloyal" from her 2021 album Still Over It, also performing the song during the Soul Train Awards 2021.
