Diddy has issued his first statement regarding the death of Kim Porter, the actress and model who shares three children with him.

In an Instagram post from earlier today, the rap mogul shares a video of Porter and himself on a photo shoot, championing the need for depictions of black love. The video's caption finds Diddy referring to his ex as something "more than soulmates," explaining that "the last three days I've been trying to wake up out of this nightmare."
"WE WERE SOME OTHER SHIT," he adds. Porter died in her Toluca Lake home Thursday afternoon. EMT's were responding to an apparent cardiac arrest, though the precise cause of death has been deferred to an ongoing investigation by the Los Angeles County Coroner's office. She is survived by her four children, Quincy, Christian, and twins, Jesse and D'Lila.
