"Me and Travis resolved it amongst ourselves weeks ago."

Yesterday, TMZ ran a typically sensationalized spin on what now appears to be nothing at all. The tabloid published a piece claiming Frank Ocean and Travis Scott were "at each other's throats over a track on Astroworld." The piece claimed Ocean sent a cease and desist order over the vocals used on the collaboration, failing to detail the precise complaint.

Later in the day, Ocean took to his preferred social media form (Tumblr) to debunk the rumored tension between the longtime collaborators. In the brief statement, Ocean also clarifies the nature of the suit:

I THINK THE SONG SOUNDS COOL, I DID IT IN LIKE 20 MINUTES AND THE MIX SOUNDS THE WAY TRAVIS WANTED IT TO SOUND FOR HIS RECORD. I ALSO APPROVED IT BEFORE IT CAME OUT SO THE CEASE AND DESIST WASN’T ABOUT 🔊 IT WAS ABOUT 🏳️‍🌈. ME AND TRAVIS RESOLVED IT AMONGST OURSELVES WEEKS AGO. 💖

Ocean appears to be implying the suit was a quarrel of representation, likely stemming from the omission of trans model Amanda Lepore from the Dave LaChappelle designed cover art for Astroworld. After being scrutinized for the decision, Scott published an apology in which he claimed "you did upstage everyone even me."

For his part, Scott also signaled that all was well between them, hitting Instagram with a photo of tour merch from Ocean's live run in support of blond(e)d and the caption "Someone I call family and always will. Has taught me a ton. And a true inspiration in an out of the Stu Gang." See it below.

Prior to Astroworld, Scott and Ocean collaborated on the blondedRADIO one-off "Lens." Hear it below.
