The reveal has come from a very unexpected and surprising source.

Does Andre 3000 have a new album in the works? Yes, according to Los Angeles rapper Thurz.

During an appearance on Real 92.3 LA's Home Grown Radio show, Thurz was asked by co-host DJ HED if he has ever been caught off guard or was star-struck by an artist that popped up when he was working with Dr. Dre in the studio.

"3 Stacks came up in there," Thurz said in response, to which DJ HED then asked him if the Outkast rapper is working on any music.

"He got an album," Thurz said, before clarifying: "He played a lot of ideas that sounded like an album to me so I'm jumping to conclusions."

He then went on to detail that 3 Stacks was in the studio to provide a verse for Anderson .Paak's album Ventura. (He appeared on album-opener "Come Home.")

"He played some really cool ideas and he's making music...that's one of my favorite rappers," Thurz added.

The exchange begins at the 34:45 mark.

The last solo release 3000 had was last year when he dropped two surprise songs for Mother's Day. "Me & My (To Bury Your Parents)" and "Look Ma No Hands" were a part of an EP named Look Ma No Hands that he released on SoundCloud.

In related news, Outkast recently trended on Twitter as a result of people comparing Earthgang to the fellow Atlanta rap duo following the release of the former's latest album, Mirrorland.
