J. Cole has announced that he'll be saving his words for his own projects, exclusively.
In a recent tweet, the North Carolinian rap star declared his verse on "Family and Loyalty" -- Gang Starr's first single in 16 years -- would be his final feature (see below.)
“This a honor to be on this song. NEW Gang Starr 🤯🤯🤯🤯 💎💎💎💎

This is the last feature you’ll hear from me. Thank you to everybody I got to work with during this run. 🙏🏿

@REALDJPREMIER This song a classic, thank you. RIP GURU

https://t.co/MMBI5Z2Fcq”— J. Cole (@J. The announcement arrives on the tail-end of a particularly productive summer for the rapper, appearing on albums and loosies from Rapsody, Young Thug, Big K.R.I.T., Ty Dolla $ign, Ari Lennox, EarthGang, and Drake. He also led and executive produced the massive Dreamville compilation, Revenge of The Dreamers III (essentially an album entirely composed of features.) His last solo project, KOD, was released in April of 2018 with, you guessed it, no cameos.
