The esteemed DJ released the first volume earlier this month.
Brooklyn-based DJ and producer J.PERIOD has done it again. On the heels of his Best of Lauryn Hill, Vol. 1 (Fire) tape, the Brooklyn Nets' music supervisor has released the second volume.
This time around, however, the project has been cleared for streaming on Apple Music. The two have a lengthy history. J.PERIOD originally dropped the tribute mixtape in 2005. After its release, he joined Ms. Hill as her official tour DJ. He also provided the finishing touches for The Fugees' "Take it Easy," their first track together in nearly a decade.

The project is 33 tracks, including covers of Bob Marley's "Redemption Song" and Same Cooke's "A Change is Gonna Come."
"J.PERIOD's mixtape not only redefines what a mixtape can be," his team said in a press release. "Fusing behind-the-scenes interviews with re-imagined hits, remixes, rarities, and live performances. It weaves itself into a kind of "musical documentary" of this once-in-a-lifetime artist, in her own words and music."
Lauryn Hill recently kicked off a new tour last week. Dates extend through July. Next month, she'll perform at Black Girls Rock at the Kennedy Center. Additionally, she's headlining Goldenvoice's Lovers & Friends Festival in May.
