These are JAY-Z's Favorite Songs of 2022
JAY-Z dropped his playlist of favorite songs on TIDAL. The results might surprise you.
After all of these years, JAY-Z still has his ears to the streets.
The legendary rapper just put out his list of favorite rap songs of 2022. Unsurprisingly, the list is full of rap songs.
The playlist, which was released on TIDAL, and called "JAY-Z's Year End Picks 2022," features Kendrick Lamar's "N95;" Drake and 21 Savage's "Rich Flex;" Future, Drake, and Tems' "WAIT FOR U;" Ab Soul's "Do Better;"Nas' "Thun;" and more.
On the R&B side, Jay showed love to Beyonce's Renaissance album — adding "AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM," "PLASTIC OFF THE SOFA," and "I’M THAT GIRL." He also dropped some SZA jams — "SOS'' and "Shirt" — and a song from Snoh Aalegra "Do 4 Love."
This is the second list JAY-Z has put out this year. Back in May, JAY-Z curatedTIDAL playlist "Titled 'Montecito.' The rap-centric playlist featured 22 tracks with spots from Lamar, Babyface Ray, Vince Staples, Lil Baby, and Pusha T.
This playlist is twice the number of songs — 40 — and features a number of those songs making another appearance, including Lamar's Rich Spirit, Staples "East Point pLayer," and more.
The big difference in this playlist is that there is some international flair, with appearances from Bad Bunny, Rosalia, and Burna Boy.
And no best songs playlist would be right without a couple of appearances from the man himself. JAY included Pusha's "Neck and Wrist" and DJ Khaled's "God Did," which features the rapper going off for 50 bars.
Check out the playlist below (if you have TIDAL.)
