Kanye's Sunday Service Collective Releases Debut Album 'Jesus is Born'

The rapper's backing gospel ensemble takes center stage.

Kanye's Sunday Service Collective has released a surprise debut album, Jesus is Born.

Teased in an interview with Zane Lowe and confirmed at a Christmas Eve performance just last night, the 19-track album features mostly original compositions, as well as live gospel reworks of Kanye covers heard in the group's semi-weekly performances, including "Father Stretch My Hands," "Ultralight Beam," and "Fade."
