Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar Trade Bars on 'Good Kid Twisted Fantasy' Mashup Mixtape

DJ Toasty Digital combines the best of Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar.

On Thursday, DJ Toasty Digital dropped a mash-up project that he describes as its own "universe." The project, titled GOOD KID TWISTED FANTASY, blends entire verses from the two albums from Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar. View the tracklist and stream the full mixtape below.

The project features a futuristic theme--the project begins in 2050, where Kanye hasn't been heard from for 30 years. It picks up right after the events of Toasty Digital's last project, Kanye 2049.

"They're two of my favorite albums ever," he said in an interview with Input. "Both came out at a time when I was getting really into making my own music, so they definitely influenced how I thought an album should be put together."

The project's first track blends "Backseat Freestyle" with the choral arrangements of "Dark Fantasy." On "MONEY POWER," Kanye and Kendrick go back-and-forth between their tracks "Power" and "Money Trees."

Toasty explains that the fact the two haven't worked together that much in real life also inspired the mixtape. "Generally, Kendrick and Kanye have stayed in their own lanes, maybe because they’re both such huge talents and would get in each other’s way,” he said. “It’s a dream collaboration.”
