The video, which was directed by Dave Meyers and the little homies, tells the story of Kendrick and his lady, who go through various up and downs. Obviously, the video is gorgeous, featuring stunning shots of various black women.
There is also an interesting Easter egg. At around the 1:55 mark, Kendrick teases the Black Panther soundtrack:
“As if the movie couldn’t get any blacker, Kendrick Lamar essentially confirmed that he’s involved with the ‘Black Panther’ soundtrack. I love it.”— Ronald Isley (@Ronald Isley) 1513924093
